Out of the big three a Emulator only benefits one console maker out of the big three.hmm which one out of the three is bringing in an Ecibsystem tied to their game console that really is just a media xenter PC and yet still brings in their PC Eco system into the living room to boot. Than explain: what's the reason to get an exclusive for the machine it was made for when an emulator makes an exclusive by default into a *multiplatform* If there's anyone that can't see that or isn't against that use of it, said person is blind to the obvious, or is being an apologist because they are thieves that actually want to play Wii U games on PC without paying a cent for them. This device is being designed specifically for the eventual smooth play of illegally obtained game software. If people are really going to take the legality of nuking an emulator into question when the advertised main use of said emulator is as clear as day, and we all KNOW that the majority will use it for said purpose just like so many other emulators before it, then there really is no hope for the moral fiber of the gaming community anymore. It's being designed, from the ground up, with the intent of pirating Wii U games.Įvery single article detailing progress on it, advertises it as such. If it ever gets to the point where people can get this emulator and play Bayonetta 2 on it at a steady 30 FPS, do you really think that won't affect the sales of the game nor the console itself, even if it's only by a few hundred? I would agree with you, if it were not for the fact that every single article about this emulator thus far has basically been an advertisement for how close they're getting to letting you steal and play well-running Wii U games. Wonderfulmonkeyman 2318d ago (Edited 2318d ago ) Plus, who the heck can run that thing at 60fps or even close? 60fps is one of the biggest selling points of that game! well, unless you're really throwing together some interesting contraptions, I guess. It's a great casual game to chill to when other stuff's going on. (M2's getting so good that they're working with the creator of Ikaruga on a new shooter, btw.) There's a lot of nuance in emulating a game, and it doesn't come from stuff like this, it comes from a ton of effort on just one title.įor me, the value of Mario Kart 8 shines in the fact that I can pick up the controller and play it from there, while someone else watches TV. People will still buy value-added emulated games, too - the M2 studio has brought some of the best versions of old games to the 3DS, especially from Sega's collection. As we've learned about the SNES over the years, you're better off with the system and a CRT than any emulator, and attempts to duplicate the original via Retron etc. Playing these games on an emulator is usually pretty underwhelming.

Not to mention it's how some kids wind up getting to know code and hardware engineering, by emulating something they're interested in. This isn't just how some pirates play a few games, it's how these creative works can be transformed by modifications. I completely disagree with nuking an emulator's production. While Microsoft is trying to put the Xbox & PC under the TV Sony is putting "playstation" into the TV itself.
#WII U EMULATOR HAS STOPPED WORKING PS4#
Sony is taking playstation Vue and already Remote play from server side and PS4 to PC for remote play and PlayStation Vue is going into smart TV's & streaming box's tablets & smartphone platforms. Which is has the games mainly made for its OS How is that any different than what's already in the PC market already right now. If the point is making "Exclusives" for your platform get made into Multiplatform with PC & PC is being pushed into the living room. So how is this good for competition in the retail space for the game console market? Now Sony & Nintendo both have disc based games, and now what was supposed to be platform * Exclusive * is now made multiplatform with PC.

Sony & Nintendo create consoles & software that runs on those platform games * Exclusive*Īn OS that get accessible Emulators made for such OS without Microsoft having no expense.
